Petra is a world wonder and is undoubtedly Jordan's most valuable treasure and greatest tourist attraction, chosen as one of the 28 places you should visit them before you die.
The most famous and stunning site to see is the Treasury at 40 meters high. An amazing day (or 3 – you can buy a 3 day pass, it is so big) and see the structures, tombs, temples & cities that have been carved into the beautiful coloured rock face. Also worth seeing, the Dam and Theatre, along this trail you will find remains of treasures and artefacts that was once daily life in Petra. It can be very hot and walking from one site to another can be long, so take plenty of water and rest often, take snacks as there is nowhere to buy food inside.
