The wisteria flower tunnels in Kawachi Fuji Gardens look like something from a fairy tale. About 5 hours from Tokyo, if you take the high speed train, this is where you will find this pastel-colored fairy-tale tunnel. The gardens are home to about 150 Wisteria flowering plants (white, blue, purple, violet-blue and pink).
Best time to visit is from late April to mid May, but not every year wisteria blooms so magnificently.
