On 17th August 1907, Seattle shoppers surrounded the first farmers’ wagons on Pike Place to buy fresh produce from the surrounding countryside and the Pike Place Market was born. An annual Sunset Supper is held around this day to celebrate the Anniversary. It offers the opportunity for 1,400 guests to sample gourmet food and drinks from 90+ of the regions finest restaurants, wineries and breweries. You can also chat with the chefs, win prizes and dance under the stars to live music.
The seafood in Seattle is to die for. Make sure you try some King Crab and take a visit to the Pike Place Fish Market to watch them throw some fish!
