The Blue Grotto is a natural sea cave, 60 metres long and 25 metres wide. The cave mouth is two metres wide, but roughly only one metre high, so visitors must board small row boats which will transport up to four passengers at a time. As the skipper guides you through the opening he will ask you to lay back on the bottom of the boat, using a metal chain attached to the cave walls. Inside, pass from complete darkness to a sparkling cavern, lit by azure blue light.
