Taipei is a huge city with busy nightlife, sightseeing, shopping, street foods, and most famous with uncountable night markets. It was great experience to visit different night markets all around Taiwan and get to try their famous street foods. We have visited during new year eve, and watched stunning fireworks for about 30 mins, not far away from Taipei 101.
The Taipei 101 fireworks’ display is the climax of New Year’s Eve events in Taipei every year, and although you would like to see the fireworks, you may not wish to be part of the huge crowd gathering in front of Taipei City Hall Plaza. If the case Xinyi District’s Sishou mountain range offers excellent views, of which the trails at Elephant Mountain and Tiger Mountain are closest to the city area, and is a popular spot to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks display, you can go up the mountain earlier instead of jostling the city crowd
