In Canada Polar bear plunges are a New Years Day tradition in numerous communities across the country. Vancouver’s annual Polar Bear Swim Club has been active since 1920 and has around 2000 participants , plunging into English Bay.
Strip to your bathers, take a few steps over the snow & ice covering the ground and hurl yourself into ice – cold water ! all in the name of charity!!
