An amazing archaeological experience, wander the ancient town that was blown away by Vesuvius in AD 79 and buried under a layer of volcanic ash.
I couldn’t recommend a better way to spend a day but exploring this amazing city. It is incredibly well-preserved, and you can walk down Roman streets and snoop around ancient-old houses, temples, shops, cafes, amphitheatres, and even a brothel. You will even find graffiti, paintings and fresco intact, still on the walls and the remains of the many people who perished that day.
