St Petersburg is an all time favourite city in Russia with the history of the Tsars and once being the capital of Russia. The Scarlet Sails is just one part of the white nights festival at the end of June which includes spectacular fireworks, concerts, and a mock battle among pirates in boats on the Neva River.
