Over 20,000 people from all over the world descend upon Galway during the last weekend in September to indulge in Oysters and anything else from the sea. Founded in 1954 the Galway International Oyster and Seafood Festival celebrates the Oyster. Its not all about eating, take in a cooking class or watch celebrity chefs in cook offs.
