Two hours hiking up the mountain is nothing compared to the absolutely rewarding experience you get from witnessing the fjord. Formed by the ice thousands of years ago, the square formation of rock juts out from the mountainside, only 25 square metres, a remarkable rocky plateau, 604 metres above Lysefjorden. A rocky trail has been made and steps in some of the roughest areas, and as a result the hike can be undertaken by most people of reasonable fitness. Best time is from April to October and is not recommended during winter due to icy conditions and too few hours of daylight.
