San Fermin is a week long festival, thousands of people, dressed from head to toe in white clothing with red handkerchiefs around their necks, fill the streets of Pamplona to celebrate. The first day is opening ceremony and runs commence every morning a 8 am. The run takes place through the narrow cobbled streets of Pamplona and finishes in the bull ring stadium where the lucky few who were able to make it inside are locked in and they let bulls enter the stadium one by one and have a run around with everyone, it’s your job to “ Get out of the way".
Four main things I would recommend before doing the run. 1. Don’t run the first day… Watch the race from the main Bull Ring ( finish line ) so you know what you’re in for 2. Try and place yourself close to the outskirts of the road, don’t run in the middle. You will be pushed and shoved, but it’s better to have a few people between you and the bulls 3. Make sure you are sober. 4. RUN!!! Don’t stop for anything !
